Thursday, July 11th

3:00PM Check-In Desk opens for convention participants - Convention Space Hallway, Inn on Maritime Bay

Convention attendees will be greeted with their welcome packet, weekend schedule, name badges, etc. and generally oriented for the weekend. Mid-Mod Manty Merch available for sale. 

6:00-8:00PM - Welcome Reception - Ballroom, Inn on Maritime Bay

Attendees are invited to enjoy hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar

Friday, July 12th

7:00AM Vintage Market Set-up - Convention Space Hallways, Inn on Maritime Bay 

Vintage vendors are invited to begin setting up their booths in the halls of the convention space of the Inn on Maritime Bay. Vendors of vintage clothing, furniture, home-goods, art, jewelry, etc. have been invited from across Wisconsin to display their items for both convention goers and the general public through Saturday evening. 

9:30AM Vintage Market Open to Convention Participants

12:00PM Vintage Market Open to General Public

11:30AM - TOUR: Historic Architecture of Downtown Manitowoc, Carl Sieracki - Tour commences at the Inn on Maritime Bay lobby, and concludes at the Courthouse Pub for lunch at that location, or other of your choice. Tour lasts approximately one hour and twenty minutes and spans about seven city blocks. Please wear comfortable footwear and weather appropriate clothing.  

Lunch on your own (explore downtown Manitowoc to find food and drink specials at participating restaurants; Petskull Brewing, BRIX, The Courthouse Pub, Wrap it Up, Ryan's on York, and Beerntsen's Confectionary). 

2:00PM - 4:00PM - SEMINAR: Dr. Evergleam - Collecting and Restoring Vintage Aluminum Trees, Jordan Kabat - Inn on Maritime Bay Maritime Ballroom B

4:00PM - 9:00PM Vintage Car Show and Food Truck Caravan - Inn on Maritime Bay Parking Area

Convention participants and the general public are invited to participate in and/or view vintage cars on display in the parking area of the Inn on Maritime Bay. A food truck caravan will be present, offering varied casual dinner options for convention-goers and event participants while viewing cars. 

4:00PM - 9:00PM Ballroom Open for Tree Show Set-Up - Inn on Maritime Bay Ballroom A

Collectors may begin setting up trees in the convention space for display and judging. Prizes will be awarded to the best in show for each category. 

9:00PM - 11:30PM Classic Movie Double Feature - Inn on Maritime Bay Ballroom B

9:00PM - Tree Show Judging - Inn on Maritime Bay Ballroom A closed for display evaluation. Trees on display in the convention hall will be evaluated by judges appointed by the MAKi Board of Directors. Judges are barred from either judging, or winning awards in any category for which they have entered trees.

Saturday, July 13th

9:00AM - 5:00PM Vintage Market Open to the General Public - Convention Space Hallways, Inn on Maritime Bay

9:00AM - 5:00PM Tree Show Open to the General Public - Inn on Maritime Bay Ballroom

10:00AM - SEMINAR: Joe Kaplar, Wisconsin Historical Society - Aluminum Manufacturing in Wisconsin and its Import During the Mid- 20th Century - Inn on Maritime Bay Ballroom B

11:00AM - SEMINAR: Mike Steeber - Mirro Medallionware - The History, Appeal, and Collecting of a Manitowoc Mid-Mod Treasure - Inn on Maritime Bay Maritime Ballroom B

12:00PM - TOURMurals of Downtown Manitowoc Tour, Barb Bundy-Jost Tour begins in the lobby of the Inn on Maritime Bay, concludes at BRIX for lunch at this location, or other of your choosing.

5:00 Cocktail Hour - Inn on Maritime Bay Bar and Lounge Open

5:30PM “Vintage Fashion Show” - Waterfront Wine Bar (2 N. 8th Street, Manitowoc) Due to changes in convention scheduling, a formal fashion show at the Inn on Maritime Bay has been reconfigured: Participants are invited to don their best vintage garb to attend an evening dinner at the Waterfront Wine Bar. The best dressed in attendance (MAKi BOD vote) will win a prize.

6:30PM Banquet and Auction - Waterfront Wine Bar (2 N. 8th Street, Manitowoc) Convention Participants are invited to enjoy a dinner with the MAKi Board of Directors at the Waterfront Wine Bar. Following dinner, a fundraising auction will take place during which Convention Participants may bid on donated items, generating funds that will benefit the non-profit organization.

Sunday, July 14th

9:00AM Tree Show Takedown - Inn on Maritime Bay Ballroom Tree Show participants must dismantle the show before departing.
